We can perform a whole house load calculation using the latest in computer software to determine the heat loss and gain of your home. We also use computer software to ensure that every natural gas flue is properly sized and conforms to the National Flue Gas Code NFPA 54 and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC).
By performing a whole house load calculation you will be assured of having the proper size equipment installed in your home.
When installing a new 80% AFUE furnace in your home it is critical that a proper calculation be performed on the existing flue to determine if it must be modified to accommodate the flue gases of the new furnace. The 80% AFUE furnaces have no provisions for dilution air causing the dew point of the gases to be considerably higher and the temperature of the gases leaving the furnace are also cooler. If not properly sized these gases will condense water and deteriorate the flue.
